Our Story

Founded five years ago by Denise, whose passion for food and people inspired the heart of the restaurant, Crabby’s Oyster Bar is proudly locally owned and operated. What began as a vision to serve honest, high-quality seafood has grown into a scratch kitchen destination known for freshness, craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality.

From our carefully prepared seafood dishes to our house-made sauces and dressings, including our signature ranch, every detail reflects our commitment to quality. We've eaten here several times during each visit to the area. What impresses me the most is the continued level of excellence we experience. Crabby's is so consistent I like to say, "The worse meal I've ever had here was excellent" Tonight was no exception. This was our second visit on this trip. On our first, we ordered grilled Tilefish and blackened Mahi Mahi. Both were outstanding. Flavorful and moist. (in my opinion , overcooked seafood is nothing more than cat food) I've never had an overcooked meal here. On this visit, I ordered whole belly clams. My wife opted for clam strips. Both were also outstanding making another perfect visit. With our meals, sides offered include Cole slaw, hush puppies, fresh vegetables and plantains. I especially love the plantains and usually get them each time. Service remains flawless. One change we notices this year is a "service charge" of 18% its added to the bill and is a gratuity shared with the wait staff. I generally oppose service charges that are often labeled 'not a gratuity" but this is not the case here. Service is so good, it is appropriate to add to this service charge when we check out. Again, hats off to the owner/management. Maintaining excellence at the level they have been able to is not all that common from my experiences. Keep up the great work!
